Welcome To Asklepios Health Care Company LTD a CARE AT HOME

MAIN ADVANTAGES OF CARE AT HOME

The cost of care at home might be cheaper: Especially as the amount of support increases, taking home care would be cheaper than care homes. You also have more control over the care and support you receive.

Continue staying in accustomed environment: Moving to a new place, especially from some certain age, could be difficult. Especially elderly people do not want radical changes in their lives. For this reason, taking home care services would be much more suitable for them comparing with care homes.

You get to stay near friends and family: Staying in the same neighborhood is really important to some people and continue spending time with friends, neighbours and family.

You can ask for more help or less: You’ll be able to tailor exactly how much help you need as your ability changes.

You can continue to live with your pets: If you have pets, you can continue living with them and not separated from them.

All personal belongings will need to fit in one room: As care homes provides only rooms for their clients, people should leave majority of their belongings and only bring some certain belongings with them.

Independence: Care homes have certain time periods for meals, activities, etc and this will limit the independence of their clients comparing with the ones who takes home care services.

Psychological effects: Family and friends can feel guilty that they are not able to help more or visit as much in care homes.

Our Services

We offer domiciliary care service, to help you or your loved one to continue to stay in the place you feel most comfortable – at home. We provide ongoing support that’s completely built around your needs and routines. we will personally visit your home to assess your needs, we will create a special care plan for you. Below are the list of our services:

Companionship

According to a report by Age UK[1], more than a million elderly people describe themselves as being lonely. With research indicating that loneliness can be a crucial factor in developing Alzheimer’s disease – apparently, older people who report that they experience severe loneliness are twice as likely to develop the condition – it’s clear that this is a problem which urgently needs to be addressed.

“Our society has changed dramatically over the past few decades, and families no longer spend as much time together as they used to. The global society has made it easier than ever to communicate with people on the other side of the world, but we tend to forget about the older generation, many of whom are unfamiliar with digital technology.

Yet as people age, their social networks often fall apart, leaving them alone, with only their television, radio and pets to keep them company. A fear of falling over may prevent them from getting out and about on their own, and if they are unable to drive, they can quickly start to feel as though they are prisoners in their own home.”[1]

Having someone to talk to, and interact with, can literally make a lonely older person’s day. Knowing that someone is coming to spend time with them acts as a powerful motivator to get up, bathe and get dressed in clean clothes.

Companion care can be arranged according to client’s needs. Perhaps they need someone to call in a couple of times a week, spend time chatting over a cup of coffee or maybe accompany them on occasional outgoings or shopping trips.

Dementia Care

Dementia describes different brain disorders that trigger a loss of brain function. These conditions are all usually progressive and eventually severe.

Alzheimer’s disease is the most common type of dementia, affecting between 50 and 75 per cent of those diagnosed.[1]

Unlike companionship care, people with dementia needs extensive support and the care provider needs to have specific set of skills to provide dementia care. People with dementia can struggle to do all their daily routines by their own and can need a full or partial support for their daily routines and / or vital functions.

“1 in 3 people born in the UK this year will develop dementia in their lifetime. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK. This will increase to over one million by 2025 and over two million by 2050.”[2]

209,600 will develop dementia this year, that’s one every three minutes.[1]

“Being a home carer is a role that can be physically and mentally demanding. Respite care allows a carer to recharge their batteries, safe in the knowledge that a loved one is being well cared for. It helps to prevent stress and burnout, allowing a carer to enjoy a well-earned break and return feeling refreshed and with renewed energy.”[1]

Respite care will be offered for clients whose permanent carers or relatives who are responsible his/her care will be away on certain periods due to holidays, sickness, etc. Depending on the needs and health/physical condition of the client, it can be provided in the form of “Companionship care” or “Dementia care”.
